Given the current circumstances this and the recent Investor Presentation are excellent updates. Apart from the company still being in a strong financial position this whole overcooked global downturn may in fact be beneficial, not dissimilar to when Carnarvon's Management prudently acquired most of our existing portfolio of tenements.


Just a glance at the above slide would make our compatriots in the oil and gas industry green with envy.

The current disruption within the oil and gas sector will no doubt have significant knock-on effects short term that may make the development of the Dorado a lower cost proposition that initially anticipated - these savings could extend the breadth of our capital.

In the not too distant future the findings from the recent 3D Seismic will be released and much more insight will be available as to how significant an opportunity this region really is to both Carnarvon and Santos. Hints of that are reflected in the below comments - the Santos/Carnarvon teams are no doubt already part way through this process and would have some idea as to the potential?


I think we will look back on the current events and wish we had the courage to see this as one of those unique opportunities that provides a real discount for all investors to be part of a world class investment.
