Some remedial kindergarten math for you:
10,000,000 (SOI) * $100 (SP) = 1,000,000,000 (SOI) * $1 (SP)
Both the SOI and SP are irrelevant arbitrary numbers. It’s their product (ie mkt cap) that matters, and your proportion of that mkt cap that you buy or short.
Anyone who focusses exclusively on SOI, or SP, doesn’t grasp the above simple math. These people probably think their holdings $ should double when a stock splits.
