Porgera is a disgrace to the mining industry and does damage to the reputation of all miners in PNG and globally. By taking some action it's actually beneficial imo, as it might show that the government is willing to take action to protect its people against bad actors. Hopefully this will strengthen mining in PNG in the long term.
