It means they don't know the results, but are hopeful it will show positive trends. If they knew the results then why wouldn't they release them now? There's no point holding them until the end of the month. Negative results imply that zero biomarkers showed significant changes, out of how many? 10? 20? We only need one to show a significant change to meet the primary endpoint.
