you're talking about backing a negative outcome vs a positive outcome? completely different... cashing in a long holding doesn't hurt existing holders?
but then again a certain poster on here shorting a few shares wont hurt long term holders either ( he might think he does but that's delusional ) However systematic manipulation using structures and systems not available to everyday holders is a different story...
its certainly done with the intention of ill will to others... justifiable but it being a profit making exercise...
i dont think most of us have a problem with joe blow shorting as in the big scheme of things he is just hedging his bets... but when institutions start doing it with other peoples shares and money using HFT and $0 brokerage to the detriment of others its BS.... and KAR should have done something about it...
no normal person can justify the share price at the moment... its being manipulated plain and simple by the people that have money...
