Very soon we are going to have a good vision of the strength of the case against govt of Egypt , they will have to respond shortly. Then I think we may have a settlement rather than going through another round and then damages etc. as it will cost them more, their response has not been forthcoming at all so far. Our case is very strong ; it took the hedge fund that backed us 18 months of due-dilegence and a heap of money using Clifford chance who are not cheap to before they decided to back us. All awards are inclusive of court costs so its all about the split between TIL and the hedge fund.
I have a feeling this will settle. Govt of egypt loses 100mill +costs or 300mill+costs, why drag it on. Most cases involving Govt of Egypt and iscid are of a much larger sum. so its kinda in the govt interest to settle when their is known fault and greater damages may occur by fighting and prolonging the inevitable.
Have a look through the other cases , they are all online ICSID
