Just in case anyone was interested, SRX got back to me re the franking credits. Basically, there is little/none left in the company. I guess they have always earned a bulk of their profit in the US and paid taxes there rather than OZ. Not sure if that would explain it away?
In any case, I was wrong on the hoards of franking credits sitting in the books!
