NRZ will now be able to say that they intend to use clean green energy straight from the grid, to power LCUP. I see the promotion in my minds eye.
That's a lot of CO2 not requiring CCS.
However, I still don't think Twiggy and his clean green H2 promoting mates will be overly supportive.
I think the SA government will be between a rock and a hard place deciding which way to go, when approached by NRZ to upgrade an existing 10MVA transline to something like 60MVA.
If they agree, it will be a great vote of confidence. IMO.
