Personally I do not like the idea of selling any more assets to China myself, and not a big fan of it going to Russia either. The behaviour of the Chinese government towards the world and its own people makes me inclined to say no to them at any price especially given it is a gold mine. I left Hong Kong over thirty years ago and hence I can say for myself that what we have seen over there gives me little reassurance about their goals in the future. Would go against my personal principles to knowingly take cash to financially benefit them.
The Namdini mine is in West Africa so in a way I am inclined to say let the Ghanaians have it if they pay a sufficiently good price. And $1.05 is not quite ringing the bell for me. Keep bidding please.
