This is interesting and probably exceeds their wildest dreams on what Aquara is worth as a standalone demerged entity which was their plan only late last year and assures Veris of its solvency going forward - remember it was only a short while ago they werent able to pay the ATO commitments. No longer will they be handcuffed by their secured lender and forced to offload a business unit like Elton Consulting.

What will they do with the proceeds? The only way this transaction is good for shareholders is if some of the windfall is returned to shareholders, but I reckon very little if any will be returned.

Last year they had to go to market and raise $$$$ to buy less than $7m of P&E. I suspect they will keep it in the bank and if this new strategy doesn't come off they will eat away at it for working capital.
