CEO Jackie Fairley did an interview on ****** in mid 2020 and boasted of Starpharma, and I quote, having ‘’deep regulatory knowledge’’.
This genius CEO, full of hubris then doubled down in an interview with Alan Kohler in early 2021 that TGA regulatory approval of Viraleze should only be a “matter of weeks”.
This ‘deep regulatory knowledge’ led to Starpharma running foul of regulators in the UK and Australia and resulted in monetary fines and reputational damage to the company.
Sorry to break it to you Jackie, but 21 months have now elapsed since that comment to Alan Kohler and still no TGA approval for Viraleze. What a genius.
P.S. She hasn’t managed to get regulatory approval for condoms in China with our ‘partner’ Sky and Land after 6.5 years but apparently this time it will be different for Viraleze in Hong Kong and Macau. Pull the other one Jackie.
