Saw an interesting Astodrimer sodium nasal spray entry in Cochrane this weekend. The Ashford St Peter’s placebo based treatment trial is listed by
“World Health Organisation
International clinical trials registration platform”
- First enrolment 5 December 2022 and updated as Date completed 31/10/2023
No mention of UK NHS Hosp trial which is the identity we have all used but the trial in Cochrane.org is identified as WHO with Jeremy Paul at starpharma as contact not Dr Stephen Winchester ❓
As Cochrane is a central register of controlled trials and lists peer reviewed professional journal publications, I’m guessing that this is where we need to watch for the results reported by Starpharma in January 2024 to provide the official publication details.
