Let me perhaps take a sideways look at this deal.
The only organisation which has distributed Vivagel for an extended period is Aspen. I would be asking how sales have progressed over that period. I would also be interested in the extent to which the medical community have endorsed the product as a treatment or preventative.
We know the TGA has approved it for both treatment and prevention but based on my research of on-line medical web sites antibiotics are the only remedy according to the medicos.
Why is this so, and more relevant, what has the manufacturer (Starpharma) done to address this issue.
It is perhaps a step forward that one company has agreed to market and distribute, but I wouldn't be paying SPL up front fees on the basis of Aspen's sales history.
