Psa 138:2 - I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
So what appears more important?
In the beginning WAS The Word and The Word was with The God and God WAS The Word. The same, this, it WAS in the beginning with God. In him life was........................IN HIS WORD = Almighty God and Father, Jesus had not yet been given this Life within himself = The Word = The Word of God.
This nonsense, a god for John 1:1 in not possible and Jesus being referred to as a God come about after he was exalted etc and ref accordingly in John 1:18. Professional stages of Jesus = In the mind and plans of God Eph 3:9 one example. God will be a Father to him and Jesus will be a Son to him. God announces on a Day Psa 2:7, this is my son. We then see Jesus ref as Only Begotten Son and after going to the God and Father, ref as Only begotten God.
Therefore, you cannot force this, a god into John 1:1 and try and tell us, you are relaying the Spirit of truth, God, God's word, which Jesus often refers to as, The Word.
