I see a number of security problems with all crypto-currencies.
Storing the codes in an off-line wallet or losing them to one of the exchanges after they claim to be hacked.
Mt Gox was the biggest exchange supposedly hacked. Was it an inside job?
It has merit. However, I would not call it an investment.
More of a punt. Governments have cracked down.
Mining is no longer worth the investment.
I have bought a few small things.
However, that's about it.
Until it becomes streamlined through the global financial system and recognised as a form of money where it has a store of value, governments will continue to block opportunities for bitcoin to expand.
