Anzac Centenary

Listening to the broadcast from Albany, WA tonight, I can't help thinking it's all got a bit mad.

It's not that we shouldn't remember the brave soldiers, I just can't buy into the celebration. World War 1 was a complete disaster between Empires who actually were all the same as each other. So when I hear the glib line that Aussie soldiers were fighting for the freedom we enjoy now, sorry, but I think that is just childish BS. Australia would have been just fine.
