Yes, too big for a team that couldn't even organise a webcast for the AGM because of the logistical challenges! Could it be that SPL might hive the DEP portfolio off to AZL for a massive premium ($5b+?) and then keep the VivaGel as a stand alone business? AZL are already committed for close to a $1b for one drug alone so they are going to have to splash the cash one way or another. Maybe they wouldn't want the VivaGel portfolio if it doesn't fit with their existing business model. SPL could focus on a single cash cow product, and advance it's other options such as conjunctivitis etc. So many options. Either way, I wish they'd get on and do something soon - we could do with a good announcement today, and it is Thursday. Otherwise it feels like everything has stalled - could be strategic, could be tardiness, time with tell.
