I'm throwing a few ideas around here... As was said earlier Boart has been refloated and sold off once already by a private equity firm.

Could it be possible that Boartlongyear will be sold off as two companies?

Eg. A Layne Drilling or Major Drilling buying the drilling division and an Atlas Copco or Bucyrus buying the technology division of Boart.

This could work well for all parties. As they strengthen their businesses global footprint at a very good price
