There are at least eight minerals currently on the critical list. We all know rare earths, lithium etc but curiously another, less well known, is silica.
Silica derives from quartz and quartz is a waste product, so to speak, after separating the clay from weathered granite.
I wonder if the separated quartz / sand / silica at Great White has any potential to be a feedstock for industrial silica?
