Electric cars appear simpler and more modular than petrol and diesel cars.
Bodywork, battery, electric motor(s), braking, electronics.
Surely some enterprising Aussie group could sling together something slinky, even if largely using imported components in the first instance? Add in or develop some driverless technology and bingo!
Why should the country roll over and import complete units?
