I just noticed the mention of a report and shared it. If you don't like it ignore it.
However, broker reports can and do influence the short term SP in my opinion, as they are sometimes a vector for stock-related news/information/rumours (however founded or unfounded) to reach the market. And yes, the brokers themselves emphasise or filter the news to suit their objectives. So it is entirely plausible the report had an effect today, just as recent negative reports by Citi and Credit Suisse probably also had an effect in the past week and advanced their agendas as well.
It's all noise if you are a long-term holder but relevant in contextualising day to day SP movements.
