News just in for Serbia ; across Serb news I am trying to find a more detailed English news website with this.

So part 1 of Vucic’s plan was to change the referendum threshold needed to pass a law, people were expecting their to be some larger opposition to this as it’s coincidentally so close to the RIO Tinto referendum - He plans to later hold a referendum regarding foreign investments (RIO) but Part 1 of the bill was to change the threshold needed to make a decision regarding the referendum (IE easier for the govt to pass it)

The bill was passed in parliament hours ago

Parliament voted
168 - Yes
2- No and spoke up against it

The protestors were expecting a lot more and if you believe the news you would’ve expected a lot more. Activists will be angrier, so expect news but like I’ve always stated - Vucic wants foreign investments full throttle in Serbia - partic China/Russia/Aus and is sick of delay when they are sitting on such a good resource.
