While I agree that companies like Plug Power have become leaders in acquiring companies to secure their place as leaders, there are no examples I can think of where a company has become a leader in a technology field through copycating technology and wishing themselves as leaders i.e. sheer force.
WAE is a leader in BMS - agreed. But does it matter? Will they keep that leadership position? Probably not. Their supercharger - again, does it matter? Will they keep that leadership position? Probably not. It's a niche use case, and again, nobody really wants to buy from Fortescue.
I wouldn't buy Fortescue shares based on either Fortescue Energy or WAE. I think you're in agreement with me on that.
