beauty of takeover

what a lot of people are not getting is that the true beauty of the takeover is the plant and infrastructure

there's a lot of gold in that area, what stops most resources from being mined is that the grade/size doesn't justify the capex

but when you have the plant and associated infrastructure there already for free, you can mine stuff as low as half a gram grade and still make money because there's no real capex to pay back. with a plant the size of morila, there's a lot of production flexibility

the gold is there and heaps of it

this is a steal because barrick just gives away assets that don't fit their portfolio anymore, they've done it before, they're doing it now and they will keep doing it

this is an awesome deal
