The difference between APT and a credit card company is that one want their customers to pay back on time and if you miss one payment , you will be banned lifetime while the other one want their customers to miss payment so they can charge you 20% interest rates and milk you lifetime.

here I was thinking ~25% of their income comes from late fees, which although capped can constitute 25% of the sale price... And the person is not banned for life... just until the late payment is rectified. No credit card has ever forced someone to spend beyond their means. Shifting the blame is for A Current Affair...
