The gas producers do not collude on price as they sell their individual shares separately. To do as you suggest, would breach Australian law under Trade Practices Act.

Ps, I think that you will find that the net back price for gas in WA into LNG and domgas is not that different, when taking into account the cost of processing,transportation and the likely delays in getting to market. As such, you prior argument is irrelevant, IMHO.
