I am thinking 80% fluff. If big pharma cant see benefit in dep products ( financial / treatment) in the lab for years knowing what they have up their sleeves well progressed in targeted treatments making significant improvements then a smaller at scale pharma funding improvement of existing generic and taking 5 years to achieve is a massive risk. Massive risk means lower margins and returns for these products. Big pharma will in the face of competition simply change market pricing of targeted treatments at the point when a DEP powered generic becomes any form of scale threat. That is the business. Not saying there isn't many 2nd world countries who initially won't / cant afford to adopt targeted therapy that wouldn't benefit should a decent DEP generic be developed but pricing power for that will only be in niches for a much shorter profitability cycle than seen by current drugs. . Yep it is still big money but a huge investment by a country based pharma to take and ultimately will not involve the sort of crazy outdated numbers and margins spouted on these forums IMO.
Current partnership targeting a niche that possibly a large pharma targeted therapy won't address it a possibility but no retur to SPL with current partnership structure
IMO SPL management have known this for a significant period hence trying to start targeting different area like "trendy" radiotherapeutic as I am not sure if they are following trend or truly believe they have a opportunity , It is not a near term opportunity and lots of time and $ as it is a focus of many company's ATM
Hopefully with some new management at some point there will be a style and information change within the company and to shareholders dead projects will be announced so they can much earlier see what possible future prospects really are a on foot and being developed rather than on foot and sitting on shelf.
