I personally believe the traditional owners have changed their minds since the early 2000's...........and it is now seen as in their best interests to gain a benefit from opening up the land.............been a heap of native title interests allowed in recent years..........but each of these people belong to different groups with different languages etc...............I read somewhere in research that the negotiations were continuing and expected to be successful in Jan 07...............cannot find it 2 mins look now......could have been on bhp site or IGO
so it is expected to proceed
