Thanks for that JD as I had no idea of the process. It does seems absolutely absurd that the appeal lodged in front of NOPTA goes back to the same person who denied the permit in the first place to then rule on it again. Makes a bit of a mockery of the appeals process in terms of overturning any outcome. SO I presume the appeals are more about tying up the administrative loose ends to proceed to court. Thats a bit shattering as it does nothing for SH. To the layperson it would seem they have a great case to launch an appeal but I understand the legal processes are never as they appear to be. Shame I would have loved SM KP and the rest to choke on their cornflakes with NOPTA overturning the decision.
