debono, I fear you watch the BBC far too much and have been led by the nose. Labour wanted another referendum, but it was argued the majority
52% wanted to leave. Then time went along and Boris wanted a general election to get the numbers in Westminster to get the numbers as polls showed the Tories and the Brexit Party would get in by a country mile. This turned the Labour against a general election as they knew they would lose as people knew that their MP's voted against leaving, so the backlash would mean a big loss, and Boris would get his way.
Now Boris has asked for another referendum and the Labour/Social Democrats have knocked it back, why because they would lose again, so each time they have gone back on what they wanted and being true snakes want to hang on as long to their jobs, because it will happen, out of the EU.
Nigel Farage has said many times, country before party and would not stand in a seat that the Tories would win and he would contest the seats in the North of England which voted to leave and their MPs voted to stay. Bercow the nasty ass who has the running of Westminster is supposed to be unbiased, but only allows Labour amendments to be passed.
