If this spills over into the housing market, mum and dad and Australia's middle class are screwed. State Governments will go broke and infrastructure projects will grind to a halt, they will lose their credit ratings and won't even be able to borrow their way out. Market forces will re-assert themselves and interest rates will sky rocket.
