It just doesn't seem likely that he was completely oblivious to being $7.8 million better off than he should have been due to an administrative oversight, then immediately upon discovering that to be the case was mortified and went to Fair Work to rectify things. More likely is that some of the hundreds who had been defrauded were making threats making Colambaris believe he was better off going to the regulator rather than have them come to him.

If it was about several restaurants involved then I doubt the master chef guy personaly ran the accounts .
more likely he would have entrusted staff to do it and , I imagine the only input he would have had would
be kitchen ,menu PR etc .... but I guess the buck has to stop somewhere
