    That is a very good video.

    Yes, there are a number of existing technologies for scrubbing the CO2 from air, both continuous with regeneration like the MEA method shown and single use like lithium hydroxide for fancier situations or soda lime for more common use like rebreathers or anesthetics applications.

    In my understanding the CNTs produced using halloysite offer an option for replacing the first of the systems shown in the video, the MEA system. Let's say two columns filled with CNTs, one used for CO2 scrubbing while second one is being "regenerated" by heating to release CO2.
    Potential advantages over MEA?
    Less moving parts, solid material so won't leak/spill, potentially less noise generated and less energy consumed (not every sub is nuclear).

    One big potential disadvantage is volume of the system required.
    This is one point not mentioned very often.
    This may be a bit of a problem in some applications but a big problem in others.
    It's worth remembering that 1 ton of CO2 under normal atmospheric pressure has volume of about 500 cubic meters.
