"The Pathogenesis and Treatment of the `Cytokine Storm' in COVID-19" by Qing et al in this month's Journal of Infection.
In light of the hype around Dexamethasone, I think its important to note that there are glaring warnings around the timing of the dosage..
"A too early administration of glucocorticoids inhibits the initiation of the body’s immune defence mechanism, thereby increasing the viral load and ultimately leading to adverse consequences"
Would be curious to glean from the scientists on the board to remind us where our MSCs sit in this mix, in terms of addressing the various cytokines that are active in this cytokine storm of C-19 ARDS!
