I just read an article on another biotech thread that questioned not only using third party distribution for products but also partnerships with large pharma.
SPL lost all control over marketing and sales of their retail range. The better deal they do for themselves the less likely a third party marketer will promote their product over others where they make better margin or gross sales. In terms of big pharma, why would AZ or Merck fast track another small biotech product into their market space. They may well see benefit but only where it suits them.
I questioned strategy last AGM but CEO seemed pretty ok with their strategy. Then show us the money. Their major income seems to come from tax rebates and grants.
I don’t need to mention the regulatory issues.
So where’s the strength in management or especially the board at this point? As a retail holder (much reduced) there’s little that can be done IMO. Amazing what a couple of changes might do but in this environment I don’t expect much for the share price or company in the near future.
It’s a terrible but all too common trait in some so called public companies. What a conflict with the CEO also on the board. Blind Freddy could see these issues but apparently the board with all their experience and independence seem to think the company is tracking fine. Bollocks.

”VIRALEZETM will relaunch in the UK following successful resolution of issues raised by the MHRA. Relaunch preparations with LloydsPharmacy are well advanced, including product manufacture and marketing materials, with VIRALEZETM expected to be available to UK consumers this quarter.”

So, still got up to 28 days to wait.
