Great work with the charts - thanks again for sharing your expertise with us.
Seems the media speculation about China not proceeding to stockpile copper together with gloomy employment / unemployment data ahead of Obama's inauguration has inspired the latest bout of selling.
My charts for the DOW show an apprent recent floor at about 8370 - not far from last night's low of 8421. In December a similar floor operated at about 8140 before the Santa rally.
I annotate my charts with key events. This reminded me that after MS called a market bottom on Nov 5th & recommended a return to equities that the DOW fell from 9654 on Nov 5 to 7449 on Nov 21 [22.8%!] before recovering a bit via the Santa rally.
I guess there is a moral to that story!
