If Nth Korea and US set of a few bombs you can be guaranteed qan goes below 5$. But if tensions settle down then of course qan is set to rise given their good results.

Any consolidation of course happened around year end when financial results are released and funds rebalance / take profit etc. price action is suggesting just that. In 2nd paragraph you say begins during a downtrend - what downtrend do you mean from 1$ to 6$ - a few cents here and there do not make a trend.

I not saying technical analysis is not useful but they are made to sound better then what they actually are around y/e and other seasonal factors. Its like an analyst telling you that the price will drop with a dividend - no sh*t.

personally i like volume analysis but if you spend time looking for patterns you find yourself missing the good stuff. For example do you wait for the breakout to buy beacuase thats when the pattern is confirmed or do you understand the stock and buy on a dip.

In an uptrend buy on dips - that simple.
