I was holding until the price hit the target of the last upswing. Then I exited and waited for the retrace. Sometimes I'll trade the BWave of the retrace, but that's usually where I make a mistake and get done. I rarely hold all the way up and rarely much of the 5th wave anymore - too much risk. In an upmarket I would have taken the wave 1 turn and probably exited at 387'ish. Then come back in after wave 2 and held all the way to the end of wave 5, then bled a bit in the A wave of the retrace and then frantically traded the retrace. Wave 2 is usually between 60% and 78% retrace of wave 1, so on a big wave 1 that is a lot to give back, on a small wave 1 I'd probably still be holding, but I don't trust the markets at the moment. Right now I am waiting for the 2nd wave of this cycle to complete - which it might have done now, but I suspect not, then I will come back in for the 3rd wave. Less profit but a lot safer, as the end of the C wave can be hard to predict, although I am getting a lot better at it - as this last WBT pattern shows. Cost a lot to learn it 'though.

So usually I am a holder, but of late across all stocks I am holding a lot less and for much shorter periods.
