Coal from india is in massive demand. I broker large coal deals and all recent contracts are going towards India. I’ve told my team to completely forget about China for the next few years. Who loses? The good quality coal we sell goes to India and the shitty Indonesian and Russian product goes to China. The attack on our food bowl, resources and commodities WILL be sold elsewhere. We Australians are resilient, tough and can diverse our trade. I’ve been saying for 10 years now, China is a great partner, but when the undies don’t come off, we look for new opportunities.
