I'm all for not taking this lying down. However, a tit for tat tariff challenge could easily become a trade war which we would lose ultimately.

How do we go about this without becoming the loser ?

I'd be more inclined to invest more in developing relationships with other customers. I'd rather quietly hurt them over the long term.

Interestingly, it seems that farmers are just finishing sowing their barley crops. Bit of a coincidence that China waited until now to make that announcement rather than give the farmers the option pf planting something else.
