Hi all have read through the trial results and other than the stated facts have a couple of thoughts and extrapolations firstly I believe the alluded to poor compliance in the younger age cohorts was probably significant given that the younger people in the UK are probably some of the least educated and bothered in the world regarding the Health risks with COVID in short and medium and (in the unlikely event that they live that long) longer term. this will potentially have impacted on the efficacy results in younger people secondly it is basically impossible to organise a clinical trial as to the prophylactic benefits of the product as your control group you’d basically have to wilfully infect and not offer them viraleze…..somewhat unethical I would say
however by logical extension and also real world evidence from several posters I would advocate best practice to be use of viraleze both pre and post encounters of high risk settings as it would likely block some if not all of the virus entering the cells and minimise replication .even better still if combined with n95 or higher level masks thoughts?
