Thank you Wombat, a very useful link. Yes I agree that it would have been good to also use the trial to establish whether The MSB treatment could increase probability of patients not requiring ventilator support but I suspect that this may have complicated the trial and potentially slowed it down. It might be the view that if it works for moderate and severe cases requiring ventilator support than it can also be authorised for use in all cases of ARD, no matter what the stage of treatment.
