About 28 years of study and 21 years of practice.
I am self-taught.
I've read everything worth reading, from accounting and valuation textbooks to investment literature. (I also correctly decided early on to ignore everything that has the word *chart* in it).
But most of my knowledge has come from learning the basics throughout my business career. You simply need to understand how businesses operate and how money is made. Those skills carry-over into stockmarket investment.
