Because it's crap....any fire that evaporates the accumulated humus layer rendering nothing but bare unprotected dirt below like these fires where are deliberate, designer and unnatural fires that by design had too much fuel piled above the Humus layer because of gross neglect (modern environmentalist ideologies that the public service executives adopted to virtue signal their purity).
Co2 increases the amount of greening and growth and lead litter etc yes, when we decide to manage our forests to the exclusion of environmentalists demands the humus layer will stay largely in place after a natural temperature fire and again grow thicker protective that can hold even more moisture at a naturally protective thickness.....then we know we have it right.....not rabid and dangerous marxist minded conversationalist's like management practices we became good with...The Gaia cultists can go get stuffed for decades to come IMO
Sadly also those environmentalists have also created moving forward a scenario where millions of acres of forest now has fresh burned unnaturally bare ground just waiting for a good dump of rain to wash it all away into our waterways causing irreparable erosion, overt siltation, turbidity and increased nutrient load....how many millions of tonnes of topsoil?
