The Position – is this you?
We are seeking an outstanding Communications Coordinator with a strong interest in innovative science-based industries and who is excited by global communications challenges.
This is a permanent position that requires a person with a collegial and professional style, strong work ethic, excellent skills and a passion for communications, great attention to detail and the ability to deliver in commercially pragmatic timeframes. Your primary stakeholders will include senior leaders within the business, media, regulators, external consultants, and the investment community.
Reporting to the Communications & Investor Relations Manager, you will:

• Develop and coordinate approval for high quality communication content including ASX announcements, media releases, reports, presentations, fact sheets, speeches and briefing documents
• Maintain and develop effective content for Starpharma's website (including major updates as required), intranet, social media and digital platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) as required
• Assist in the development of effective communication collateral to promote the Company and its programs and events in line with branding requirements
• Provide media and industry insights, including through media monitoring platforms, and communicate trends in share price movements and news
• Provide support to the Company’s external consultants for the development and implementation of media, PR and IR strategies and campaigns to promote Starpharma and its products, programs and events effectively
• Effectively collaborate with other internal teams to develop internal and external communication materials as required - eg, to support advertising of on-market products
• Keep abreast of current and emerging communication trends, as relevant to our audiences, to deliver more impactful communications.

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

• Experience in a communications or marketing/related role. Recent graduates with relevant qualifications and related experience will be considered
• A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Business, Science or related field. A Science-related qualification will be highly regarded due to the highly technical nature of Starpharma’s business
• While your sector experience may be varied, prior experience working within healthcare/regulated communications environments and with diverse stakeholders would be highly advantageous
• Demonstrated advanced written and oral communication skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in researching, writing, editing and preparing technical content for a broad range of materials, platforms and audiences
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multi-task effectively to deliver materials on time
• Ability to work autonomously and constructively in a collaborative team environment to meet required outcomes
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills and experience in dealing with people in a professional manner
• Comprehensive understanding of website maintenance (CMS) and social media platforms
• Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 products, including Word and PowerPoint
• Strong interest in innovative / science- based industries and excited by global communications challenges
• Down to earth style with a highly ethical, “can-do” attitude.
