The first-generation quadric architecture is the world’s most advanced edge processor architecture designed to power computationally-intensive Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing applications. A hybrid data-flow + Von Neumann machine provides high-performance computing for various workloads, including, but not limited to, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, Digital Signal Processing, BLAS, and more.
It is more of an accelerator that can be used with neural networks as well as DSP processing and is not a neuromorphic processor. MegaChips has most likely selected it for other applications they have in mind.
I admire your attempt to mislead and downplay the Brainchip and MegaChips partnership, but one should do a bit more comparison between the products to understand that they have entirely different use cases instead of fearmongering.
