This forum has really dumbed down lately.

Difficult to disagree given the following:

I just wonder why good knowledgeable posters like Jevalent waste time posting to people who openly and constatly criticising the management whilst professing to hold shares.

This is an OXYmoron. holding and hating at the same time. Complete lack of credibilty from posters who hold but post continually about incompetant management. Why do they waste all day griping. Sell andmove on. Simple.


Actually this isn't an oxymoron, not even close. Here is a definition:

A rhetorical figure of speech in which contradictory terms are paired, for example, alone together, current history or boneless ribs. However, with an oxymoron the incongruous word pairing conveys a truth or a dramatic result.

Here are some more examples:

'original copy'
'serious joke'
'open secret'
'living dead'

Also it is not contradictory to hold shares in a company and criticize the management. In fact activist shareholders like Bill Ackman sometimes make this into a strategy, they take huge positions in stocks that they like and try to influence management by getting some of their own people on the board.

It's perfectly reasonable to question management, in fact to not question is to abdicate your responsibility as a shareholder.
