I think the correction is a positive. It will enable superfund investors to buy a bit more sanely.
It looks to me overdone - can't see that a China stock bubble being pri cked is the end of the world. Gold, copper and oil did very little last night, so I can't see any particular impact on Chinese growth. It does show that the Chinese ratcheting up their interest rates may be having some impact on pricing for "risk" assets, pretty much needed.
Wall St appeared to be worried about durable goods orders last night, but that's a very volatile series, and that simply means they wanted something to worry about.
My betting is that this is the correction that refreshes, and that it could be what is needed to take the dangerous parabolic rise out of the market, so we can be stronger for longer. Again, I'm more in the camp looking for a correction mid year, wouldn't surprise if the market made new highs before it did have a further correction.
Anything can happen, it's still all about quality and yield and value.
