Mr G doesn't seem to accept that if there were such a thing as "free will" then there would be no need in a religion of all the multitude of rules, regulations, lists of proper behaviour etc with their associated rewards and punishments.
In fact, one could say the amount of free will possible for an adherent is inversely proportional to the number and strictness of rules and prescribed behaviour etc of their chosen religion.
One might also say the naivety and ignorance (in the sense of lack of real knowledge) is directly proportional to the above number of rules and regulations.
In the case of Christianity, nor would there be the constant and repetitive need for forgiveness and faith in Jesus.
