Zara: "I can see the lithium price where it is now staying around these levels for years."

The table below is from the Guangzhou future exchange before the 26th trading opened. The futures market has flipped to the more far-dated contracts trading at higher prices than the near-dated contracts. The futures exchange is expecting prices to increase over time (not to fall or remain stable).
Note - Red is a positive movement on the previous day.


The table below the current position. In addition to the circa 2000 RMB increase that was showing, there's another 4500ish RMB increase that is occurring during the 26th Dec trading. Where the Jan24 contract was at 95,900 its now up to 102,250.


The futures market is continuing to price in that the bottom is in and carbonate prices are increasing. Accepted, more confidence will exist when the increase is more than the current 20% from recent low's and given how much prices have bounced around, a bigger increase is needed for a high level of confidence that low's have occurred.
